ATG was originally founded as Aylesbury Industrial Training Group in 1967 by a consortium of engineering companies to deliver specific training to engineering apprentices across Buckinghamshire. As the company evolved, it became a registered charity and broadened its deliverables to include a wide range of vocational training activities. Today ATG Training is a large independent training provider with specialised training centers in Aylesbury and Manchester. ATG Training is a member of GTA England, a group formed to leverage its scale and resources to meet the UK Government’s challenge for growth.


ATG Training’s objectives were very straight forward requiring a lead generation project in order to attract delegates to attend wide-ranging courses.


Premium data was imperative as the records were to form the basis of a 12-month direct mail and emarketing campaign. Data HQ researched, refined and supplied 38,000 full contact records against very specific targets. Criteria included a cross-section of over 20 industry sectors, varying levels of personnel, and specified regions across the UK. This information was then utilised throughout the direct marketing campaign.


ATG Training’s objectives of lead generation were fully met, with all courses promoted filled with appropriate and maximum number of delegates. Across the year an ROI of 35% was achieved.
