We Are Committed to Cyber Security

Data HQ are pleased to announce we have been awarded Cyber Essential Plus accreditation.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks. According to the UK Government, 80% of cyber attacks could be prevented if organisations put security controls in place. The scheme identifies some fundamental security controls and allows companies to demonstrate a robust level of security and to gain a Government approved, security accreditation.
Cyber security is an essential part of GDPR, to be sure of your GDPR compliance you must have a robust cyber security system along with your data policies, procedures and documentation. At Data HQ, we have always maintained highly secure systems and networks which are tested for security regularly. In this new era of data sensitivity having the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation means that our customers, staff, stakeholders and suppliers can clearly see our commitment to ensuring that we handle their information in a most secure way. However, we aren’t stopping there, to demonstrate our commitment to data security, we are now moving to the next level of accreditation called IASME, once completed this will be a giant step towards our our goal of achieving ISO27001, this is the highest specification for an information security management system and our ultimate security goal.
Tim Holt, Data HQ’s MD quotes "At Data HQ, we have always taken data security very seriously and felt that this was a good opportunity to test our IT systems, process and policies and have them certified. Therefore, we recently underwent a cyber security test and audit by an independent external body to see how we stood up to scrutiny. We are pleased to say that we passed with flying colours and are now proud to say that we are a Cyber Essentials Plus certified company.”
